Collection Röthlisberger Switzerland

- functional furniture art -

exceptional furniture pieces - created by top designers - made with "state of the art" technology yet remaining true traditional cabinet making.
There is a certain atmosphere
of coincidence about this chest.
It is a decorative furniture
sculpture made up of drawers
stacked one on the top of another.
The design looks interestingly
different from all sides.
This piece is remarkably functional
without compromising on aesthetics.
Stack of Drawers

The veneer runs diagonally across
the drawers to create the appearance
of a singular structure.
Execution: Plywood diagonally
veneered with Santos rosewood
or Australian Red Gum.
Drawers black.
Design: Susi and Ueli Berger
Stack of Drawers

New techniques and a new look
for a traditional piece of furniture.
The convex drawer fronts in laminated
aircraft plywood veneer slightly overlap
the actual cabinet. The mirror-clad sides,
set in protective black anodized aluminum
frames, add lightness that verges on
transparency. Recessed handles and
graduated drawer heights underline
the functional elegance.
These chests of drawers won
the Stuttgart Design Award.

Design: Trix and Robert Haussmann
