New techniques and a new look for a traditional piece of furniture. The convex drawer fronts in laminated aircraft plywood veneer slightly overlap the actual cabinet. The mirror-clad sides, set in protective black anodized aluminum frames, add lightness that verges on transparency. Recessed handles and graduated drawer heights underline the functional elegance. These chests of drawers won the Stuttgart Design Award. Design: Trix and Robert Haussmann |
